History awaits inside
Unfortunately, I didn't write down the names of any of these guys
Imagine rounding the bend and seeing this gentleman coming toward you
| Thermopolis is in the middle of nowhere and the dinosaur museum is on the edge of the middle of nowhere. As I drove up to the large unimpressive metal building, I didn't have high hopes for the museum. Wrong! It was first rate and spectacular! The giant T-rex is 108 feet long and about three stories tall...just huge. There are lots of other dinosaurs and tons of information about the earth's evolution and you can see into the lab where they clean and identify the fossils they find. You can make reservations to accompany the scientists on a dig...I'll definitely be going back to do that. |
