The Port Saint Lucie RV Resort.

We are enjoying the many tropical flowers found everywhere in Florida.

We had an enjoyable visit with Julia this morning and were very happy to have a chance to spend some time with her, albeit briefly, in their new comfortable (cool-low-humidity) apartment. We also had a nice lunch out with her at a restaurant (Taco Rico’s Tex-Mex Cafe in Coral Gables) as Mark had said he wanted us to be sure to go there; more specifically he wanted Will to taste their steak dish (which Will ended up enjoying very much). I liked all of my lunch, but I was particularly fond of the fried plantains. Yum! In fact, they are so good that I took five out in a to-go carton so we could enjoy them again with dinner tonight.

After giving Julia a hug goodbye we then drove up Hwy 1 and have stopped for the night at the Port Saint Lucie RV Resort. It is off season here right now so we got a very reasonable rate and the facilities are very nice. We also made a grocery store run to restock drinking water and our food supplies. I had a lovely selection of produce to choose from, including some tasty Florida oranges, and now our little kitchen is once again bursting with healthy food.

Willis refilled our water tanks and we will be back on the road tomorrow. We are planning on driving up the coast via A1A in hopes of spending a bit of time on the beach. It is so hot and we three could use some beach time! Poor Blayde in his long coat… he is shedding like crazy right now because of the heat… so I think it will be fun to see his reaction to the beach. I hope he likes it!

Happy travels, Rebecca
