Our spot in Weyburn city park

Our first stop is Weyburn,Saskatchewan,Canada. Lots of wide open spaces in North Dakota and lots of grain fields and cows so you'll have to put up with the pictures, Larry. Had a nice day of travel. After lots of research, and wondering and worrying about what to bring an what not for crossing the border, It went like a dream, he asked for our passports(just needed ids) and asked about the dogs records but otherwise his main concern was whether we had guns along, we told him no and he asked what about protection from wild animals in Alaska. He really was fishing for any idea that we may have something along but Dave satisfied him with " Well, I guess if we find we need it, we can buy it in Alaska" And with that he said, have a nice trip and off we went into Saskatchewan but their info center was still closed so we will get more info as we travel. We saw some huge mining operations and even some museums about it but none open so I don't know what they wer mining except for the one coal mining operation. The mining looked almost like dredging like we saw in Idaho last summer. Anyway enjoy the pictures, still coolish temps, nice during the day and chilly at night. Only up in the 40's & 50's days and down to the 30's nights but just that little rain and no snow. We had hoped to stay in Provencial parks here but they don't open till the 15th. this year But Weyburn has the neatest little city rv park, right on the river and it doesn't open till tomorrow but electric is on and several rv's are parked . We really enjoy this type of camping. Stay tuned for more as we go and I will update as soon as I can.
