At least that's what they call it. Macau wasn't really that, exactly, but it sure was fun and the perfect break from everything China. It's 3am here in Chungking Mansions, we took a midnight ferry home (after spending - and losing HK$700) so I should really go to sleep, but to celebrate my new camera, I uploaded 8 new photos. Really, I am over the moon with my new lens. I spent 20 minutes using Jonas' new camera to take pictures of my own. Oh well.
It's noteworthy that the casino that got our money was the famed Venetian - all-marble interior, really quite something, but the thing that struck us the most was their lifesize Venice-replica. Not the whole venice, obviously, but it was big. Funnily enough, the Macau Sands had a miniscule version of the Potala Palace. Funny, we didn't go to Tibet but we did get a glimpse of its main attraction. Macau wasn't all glitz and casinos though, we had Bacalhau and used most of the day wondering around the old colonial part of town (another world entirely.)
I should go to sleep.
