Hi everybody!

Colby dressed in his turkey hunting clothing

Got to know what a turkey looks like

Yesterday was another wonderful day. The forecast rain and thunderstorms did not happen. Marilyn & I enjoyed some morning coffee, then filled the cups and took a walk around the campground. There are many available spaces in the campground but the grass was freshly mowed and everything looks so nice. We even saw the very elusive pileated woodpecker. He is a large bird and we hear him frequently but rarely see him. Marilyn didn't have her camera or we could have had a good picture for you.

We walked back to the RV and set our empty coffee cups on the table outdoors before continuing our trek through the woods and back.

Marilyn fixed some bacon and eggs for breakfast and then she began cleaning the RV on the inside while I washed some dirt off the outside and swept the patio.

I sat down in a lawn chair to relax for a moment and took that opportunity to return several calls from friends. I called Carl & Linda and spoke with them for awhile. While talking with Carl I heard Marilyn's phone ringing and went inside to answer it, knowing that Marilyn was in the shower. It was Gilbert calling from Medford, Oregon. I had a nice visit with this good friend also. It will sure be nice to see these good friends again when we get to the RGV this next winter.

Marilyn was planning to drive out to the farm to visit Jen and Colby so I decided to join her since I had my work done.

We ate a quick sandwich here at the RV and then drove north and west toward the farm.

We had a great visit with Jennifer. Marilyn helped Jen do some chores while I played with Colby. Seems like a fair deal to me.

We tried to be quiet so as not to waken Steve because he has to work at night and sleep in the day.

We headed back to Hannibal around 4:00 PM and stopped at Wal-Mart to purchase groceries.

Once we had the groceries unloaded and put away, Marilyn & I sat outdoors enjoying a cold drink. We finally decided to go inside and have some dinner of pasta and salad. It was yummy!

We watched a little TV before going to bed and slept all night with the windows open.

This morning I am working so, naturally, the forecast thunderstorm and rain has just begun. I do have pictures to post for you but may have to do those later so check back for the camera symbol if you don't see the pictures.

Yesterday was a wonderful day and I look forward to whatever new adventures this day has in store......
