Today we wandered around Miayajima Island, best know for it's iconic floating tori gate and sacred deer.
It was an absolutely beautiful place. The deer were so "friendly" it was a little disconcerting: they come right up to you and kind of push you around trying to get you to drop stuff so they can eat it. While Josh was taking a picture of the floating tori, this one came straight for him and almost ate the tip of the camelback!!! After he got bored of Josh he came over and made me pet him; literally pushed his head under my hand like a cat does.

For some reason, when our guide asked who wanted to take a 3-4 hour hike up Mt.Misen to see the shrines at the summit, we decided that would be a great idea. Why we didn't take the rope train (gondolas) up is a mystery to me. That being said, it was just gorgeous on the way up there, with tons of beautiful scenery. When we got to the top, we lounged with a few others from our group at one of the temples eating snacks, and looking at the view. It was pretty amazing.
We took the ropeway down (the hike up was enough) - and then wandered over to the aquarium with Joanie and Justin (others from our group). To be honest, the aquarium was pretty awful - the tanks were way too small for the amount and size of sea life they had in them. We were all pretty disappointed.
We had the next morning free in Hiroshima as well - and we were originally planning on going either to a walking garden or the Peace Museum, but neither of us were feeling very well - so we just took it easy and drank orange juice and watched TV.
