The front entry of Childress Winery

Sales and tasting room of the Childress.

A portion of the 160 acres making up the winery.

that's where we ate lunch up there on the balcony. NICE !

She graced the steps of the winery, adding beauty to the decor.

We found out the NASCAR legend Richard Childress has a winery near the RV resort. The short drive made it convenient for a quick lunch. We found the outside deck bistro was a place for office workers to take their friday lunch. The lunch was good and priced very reasonable. Given the sunshine and warm day on the patio while looking out over the vineyard the lunch was perfect. After lunch we went to the tasting room and later bought several bottles.

A few miles away is the RCRM, Richard Childress Racing Museum. We took alittle while to go see the museum. If you're a NASCAR fan and especially a fan of anything having to do with RCR, this is the stop for you. So make a few left turns and get to this place. Sorry we didn't take any pics of the RCRM.
