Today was another border crossing day from Guatemala to Belize. The bus stopped and we got out with our passports and paid our exit fee of $18 to Belize and got our passports stamped. Then we walked through to the Belizian side and were picked up by some local Belizians who took us into San Ignacio. We hadnt realised that English is spoken in Belize, and there was a distinct Caribbean feel as everyone seemed very laid back with lots of reggae music! In San Ignacio we decided what trips to do. Sarah decided in the afternoon to go river tubing with a couple of the others, which was like going down the river and over some rapids in a rubber ring. I decided to go horse riding with 2 of the others and we had an amazing time galloping through the jungle with our guide. We made such good time that we also got to see some other ruins, before having a quick drink and galloping home again. The horses were also really nice and well looked after.
That night we went out for a meal and went to a local bar for a few cocktails icluding a Sex in the Jungle (!) before heading back to the hotel which was more like a house and had a games room and computer but also unfortunately a resident rat!
