Downtown Honolulu

After walking on the beach and going for a swim, we check out of the cabin and drove along the coast. We stopped at overlooks to watch the waves smash against the rocky cliffs. We parked in a residential area and walked down a steep rocky trail to get to the spitting cave. The waves wash into the cave and the spray shoots out as if the cave was spitting.

Our next stop was Diamond Head. The walk to the top Diamond Head starts off with a trail with lots of switchbacks. At the end is about 100 steps going almost straight up. The view from the top is fantastic - worth every step!
