A good day in the caves
Apr 24, 2008
|Yesterday we awoke to another really nice day here in Hannibal. We debated having our morning coffee outdoors but it was a little bit cool to sit outdoors early in the morning.
We had a few things on the agenda for the day. Marilyn drove to the farm to visit with Jen and Colby while I gave some tours in the caves. One tour of Mark Twain Cave and, after lunch, a tour of Cameron Cave. Both tours were enjoyable but my feet were a bit tired and sore by the end of the day.
I was laying on the bed nearly asleep when Marilyn returned from the farm.
I want to mention to you that I am aware that some of our readers have been having problems getting logged on to our web site. Some get logged on and begin to read the journal entry only to have their computer lock up or have the page go blank. Others get a message saying they are not authorized.
I had seen that problem myself when I tried to read a friend's web page and had the same "not authorized" message.
I am writing a letter to mytripjournal to let them know of the problems. I know the last time they sent a message that they were working on the site and hoped all of the problems were going to be repaired soon. Evidently all is not well. I'll see what I can do about that.
Marilyn & I have a busy day today but I will tell you about that tomorrow. Marilyn had her annual check up a week or so ago, and the mammogram found a shadowed area, so we are going for an ultrasound today. We have a few other things going on and hope that we will have good news about Marilyn's health soon.
We had a call from one of our Llano Grande friends, telling us that they have signed up for the rv-dreams rally in Branson, MO, from June 11th to June 15th.
Information may be found at: www.rv-dreams.com
We are certainly looking forward to meeting some old friends and some folks who have been cyber-friends for awhile.
We will be arriving in Branson on June 1st and hope to be all settled in by the time of the rally.
Well, folks, I don't have much to say today. Tomorrow will be more interesting for sure.
I hope all of you have a wonderful day today. We will do our usual thing and just can't wait to see what this day has in store.....
