Ginny contemplating the rip tides-Perdido Bay 040408

Greg on the intercoastal 040408

Ivory in one of her favorite places 040408

040408 Greg didn’t get the taxes finished but the landing gear cooperated enough so that we could hook the trailer up, drive the 67 miles and set up in Lillian AL. Lillian is just over the border from Florida across a mile long bridge over Perdido Bay that opens to the gulf. This is a KOA site that is pretty nice. After we got set up, we took a walk down to the bay and then took a drive around. Lillian is a very small town that does not have a lot so we figured we were going to be eating a lot out of the Palace kitchen.

Ginny was looking through the local paper and was surprised to see an add for the commissary at Pensacola. They were having a special!! From the prices, we wished we could shop there. Greg was trying to think if he had anything that would identify him as an old military person but no luck. He’s thinking he didn’t plan for this when we started this odyssey 10 months ago. Instead, we ended up at the Perdido Market, but more on that on Monday.

Ivory likes to go out as soon as we get to somewhere new and makes a real nuisance of herself until we take her out. Then we have to watch her as Greg is still moving the trailer around, especially when we have to put leveling blocks under one set of wheels. But we got her done quick time and Greg took a picture of Ivory relaxing in one of her favorite places (under the wheels, of course)……..
