|Ater some discussion as to the date ( we were not sure if it was a leap year or not)we moved on again.
We decided to bypass the capital ciy of Lisbon and instead make for the hilltop city of Sintra to the north.
Unfortunately the closer we got to Lisbon the worse the storm damage to the roads became and we realised that we would not reach Sintra that day.
Plan B was to drive through Setubal towards Sesimbra and find somewhere to park for the night, even this proved to be difficult.
Once again there was a fair amount of road damage in Setubal with numerous diversions so we lost our way but found our way out along the narrow coastal road through the Sierra da Arrabida, this road proved to be closed just before wereached one of the costal campsites due to a washed out bridge. We had to turn around and brave Setubal once again to find an alternative route out to Sesimbra.
The whole area prved to e far more developed than the map would indicate and we ended up wild camping for the night in a small clearing close to the beach at Alfarim
