Sunday 6 April 2008 - Esperance
Today was to be a lazy day! The sun was shining brightly. So, after driving around the Great Ocean Road for a short while stopping off at 9 Mile Beach, Pink Lake and Observatory Point ,and taking in some great views of the Southern Ocean and the Archipelago of the Recherche, I found myself a great little quiet beach called 11 Mile Beach and settled here for the greater part of the day.
Went to the movies in the evening and saw "Semi-Pro" - well the choice was lacking!
Monday 7 April 2008 - Esperance to Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Town
Another long driving day today as I head up to the great gold mining area of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Metropolis.
On the way I stop off at a couple of minor towns to stretch the old legs and relieve the boredom. Need to treat myself to a couple of good complilation CDs as even AM radio doesn't get this far out in the bush!
Oh, by the way - I spotted my first kangaroo today. Trouble was he was roadkill, by the side of the road!
