Today we woke up ridiculously early (4:15) to go to the elephant and lion park. It was well worth it, however, because the lions are really active in the morning.
So we go to the park, and they bring out 3 lions. We basically walked around with them for an hour, just petting them and hanging out. It was really cool. After that, we had a delicious breakfast on the waterfront. It was great. After that we went to the elephants, and went for an elephant ride. It was alright, definitely not a personal highlight. It felt a lot like riding a horse. We did get to feed and pet them after, which was cool. They are like vaccuum cleaners, it's so weird to feed them. It was a bit crazy.
After that, we went to check out the falls. I got absolutely soaked, but we did get some really good pictures of Victoria Falls. It's the high season right now, so you can't get as close as you can when the water's low, but they were still amazing. The pictures kind of speak for themselves.
Finally, we decided to go to the market, where there's a lot of local crafts and things like that. Plus, you can trade stuff. I was planning on leaving a few pairs of socks, a t-shirt and a towel there, so it worked out perfectly. Unfortunately, they are really pushy and you have to be really patient. I got a few things (surprises!), but Tomi was really uncomfortable, so we left quickly and just went to lunch.
The afternoon was really relaxed, and then we got dressed up and went to dinner as a group. It was nice, but really slow. After that, I had some Zim dollars left to spend, so we went to the casino. It was amazingly fun (weird, but fun) and I gambled about about one hundred million dollars. That's like, 3 US dollars. I did save some of my zim dollars, so you guys can check them out when I get home!
We were really tired from getting up early, so we went to bed fairly early.
