Landing in Sydney!!Apr 1, 2008

After the longest day of my life in Vancouver, I finally made it on board Flight 33 to Sydney Australia. Watched a few movies, ate three meals (not very good ones mind you), and slept... oh maybe an hour or two of the whole 15 hour flight. I didn't actually believe I was coming here until we were low enough that I could see the Ocean and the coast. Landing was BEAUTIFUL I had thee best view of Sydney while we were landing. Once on the ground, we waited at the gate for quite awhile to get "debugged" which was quite a piss off. I waited what seemed like forever to get my bags and had to get checked at the quarantine security place, but finally got through the gates and met up with Mark and Leah! Quite a relief to At first I didn’t see them and I was getting worried, but when I did see them, you could imagine how happy I was. We took a train to our hostel and then a bus which threw me off driving on the wrong side. I was a little confused using Australian money for the first time, and buying my train tickets so I was lucky to have some “Aussie Canadians” to help me out. We went down to Bondi Beach (nude beach ah!) and Mark and I went swimming in the ocean which was basically just unreal and then the three of us tanned for awhile and Leah and I made fun of Marks little curly hairs! J Ha-ha. We went out to a little pub called The Shack for dinner which was extremely cheap, $6.50 for a meal! I had chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad. And Leah and I got wine for three bucks a glass!! Later we took a walk down by the beach, the view and the sound of the waves crashing were incredible. Now I'm here in my hostel on day two of my trip (April 2) waiting for Mark to wake up! We're walking down the coast today and then going snorkelling which should be amazing!! Can't wait to do that. Hopefully I won't have as many blonde moments today. Getting used to driving on the wrong side and the trains and everything can be a little confusing! That’s all for now Mates!
