De Funiak Crew w/Mel
Ray & Mel's catch
| Left Defuniak Springs about 8am. See final night picture of Mel with the crew. Son Mark (easily identifiable), daughter Penny, granddaughter Brittany and son-in-law Danny. Long trip---540 miles. Arrived safe and sound. Cleveland was much bigger than I had anticipated. Found Ray and Carolyn's with no problem. Ray had to work Saturday and Sunday. Mel and I shopped with Carolyn on Saturday. Sunday Carolyn's boys visited with their families and it was like the old days at our house. Everyone is so nice and friendly. It was a great Easter. Monday Mel and Ray fished. Again, Mel was out fished. Yep. When you see the picture that's the only one he caught. Tuesday they tried it again. Only caught 3 that day and it was Mel zero Ray 3. Mel hung up his pole. Ray fired up his "pit" and prepared ribs and "wild hog". To our surprise it was great. Spent a day driving to Livingston Lake. Seen a very nice campground when we make return visits with our trailor. Had a wonderful visit. On to Houston Thursday evening. That's a short drive. |
