|We could have slept in today but......apparently we are no longer able to do that. We were eating breakfast by 7.30 and out checking out the town of Cuzco before 9. It´s a happening place but nice and quiet that early in the morning since there are lots of partiers here.
We finally found a bank, got some money, exchanged it and then the parade started. What a great festival! Lots of colours, dancers, bands.... plenty of action going on. We met up with Ester and Michel and drank coffee and ate cake on the balcony of the Plaza de Armas and watched all the action. When we asked why the festival later, we were told.... it's Friday. ooookay.
Mike went quad running with a bunch of the others and had a great time zooming around in the mountains and getting filthy and I walked my feet off getting to know Cuzco and finding the bargains. There are lots to be found. It´s overwhelming. I could spend a lot more time in this city. There is so much to see.
Now it´s dinner time and the question of the day is Are we going to eat guinea pig???? Tomorrow we fly into the jungle. What fun!
