On Wednesday morning we drove from Whittier to LAX for Megan's flight back to Houston.
Next we headed northeast to San Bernardino.
Along the way we found a couple of RV dealers and had to check them out. That is what future RV Fulltimers like ourselves do-- We always want to look and see what is out there in different parts of the country. (We did the same thing last October while we were in Charleston, SC and in Dec when we were in Orlando.) We went to dealers in Baldwin Park, Pomona and Colton. We have heard a lot about the Teton fifth wheel and wanted to see one so we found a dealer in Colton. It is very big, very heavy, very expensive and very nice.
While at the dealer, we also took a look at the Winnebago coach, class A motorhome. This is the first manufacturer that we looked at when we started seriously looking in Aug 2007. The big change we saw was in the 'pass through' storage area underneath. That is a big plus.
Since it was very early in the afternoon, we found and 'In n Out Burger' and had to indulge. It was definitely on our 'To Do' list while in California. Man-- they are great burgers!
We were looking forward to seeing our good friends and neighbors from 25 years ago when we lived in San Bernardino. Pam and I lived there 1986-1988 while in the Air Force. To our delight Bob and Soo and all three daughters (Hillary, Katieanne and husband Ryan, and Camille with husband Eric) were there for dinner. We had a great time getting acquainted and reacquainted and talking about 'what do you remember...'
The girls headed home and we settled in for a little bit of American Idol before calling it a night for an overnight stay at their house.
