Carla here--we drove up to Sierra Blanca above Ruidoso and went skiing today. We skied on the Mescalero Apache Reservation at Ski Apache--got cool sweatshirts with the Apache logo on it too. Pete is the only one of us who has ever skied but he hurt his knee playing racquetball so he was the photographer today. Wes, Grace and Lexi took lessons for snow boarding. I took lessons for skiing. I fell about four times. The kids tell me they fell about 50 times (an exaggeration, I think). We spent around 1.5 hours in lessons, ate lunch, then practiced what we learned on the bunny slopes. We had a great time, were really tired and very sunburned—it didn't occur to me that we need sunscreen. Wes and Lexi blistered up, Grace and I were spared the worst because we wore moisturizer with sunscreen.
Once again enjoy the pictures and movies.
