....the end of another great day!....

We spent the week at The Vacation Village at Parkway, a condominium time share exchange in Kissimee, Florida right next to Disney World and The Magic Kingdom. While we were supposed to be “minutes away”, that would only be if you had your own transportation, which we did not. The condo was very nice and afforded us the opportunity to pick up some groceries and cook for ourselves again, something which we have been missing. As usual, when staying at a time share, we were subjected to the “no pressure” hard sell with the “special price for you, today only”...oh well, at least we got a nice lunch out of it at a Japanese Restaurant called Seito Sushi in the neighboring town of Celebrations. This town with a population of some 10,000 people, was built for the Disneyworld executives and others who work there (and who can afford the houses) and is reminiscent of the town from the movie “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey. On Tuesday the 4th of March we boarded a shuttle bus which took us to the main gates of the Magic Kingdom where we transferred to the monorail and made our way to the Disneyworld entrance where we were almost first in line to enter the theme park. It’s a good thing it was March and not August as there were not many people and it was easy to maneuver around between the various attractions...Barb even had her picture taken with Mickey Mouse! We relaxed a bit during week without doing too much and on Friday the 7th we returned to Celebrations, but this time to the hospital...Barb had a severe pain along her gumline and a visit to the dentist was in order (which Barb just loved – read hated) and unfortunately he couldn’t find anything wrong and was only able to prescribe some anti-biotics and pain killers for her. On Saturday the 8th we made our way to Epcot on a day that was so windy and cold it felt like we were standing on the corner of Portage and Main in Winnipeg...but we enjoyed all the attractions none-the-less!
