A pretty little church here in Rockdale.

Old downtown Rockdale, on Sunday morning.

The flea market. Donnie is taller than this building.

We had a very rough night last night weather wise. About every hour the weather alert on our weather radio was going off. The first alerts were for severe thunderstorms and high winds and boy did we get the winds. I thought a couple of times the rv was going to flip right over. Very scary!! The next couple of alerts were for tornado watches. So, needless to say, we had a very unrestful night.

We did go to a flea market yesterday. What a hoot... Donnie was taller than the building it was in, but we are addicted, so in we went. In a couple of spots he could actually stand up. We didn't find anything and Donnie said most of it should be thrown over the hill, but at least we got out for awhile.

We also took a drive outside of town. Luck was not with us yesterday. We were headed back to town, when this lady in a red suv, kept trying to get us to pull over. We finally found a place and she came running up to the truck and said our big rubbermaid container had blown out about 2 miles back. We turned around and looked for it, but could not find it. Thank God no one got hurt or it didn't cause a wreck.

When we got back to town from our adventure we decided to check out the large Brookshire Brother's Grocery. They also have a super Wal*Mart here, but we wanted to see what this one was like. We were very impressed. It has a very large deli and bakery section. A large selection of wines and everything else you can think of. The prices are a bit higher, but it is very clean and has a big selection. Milk was $4.59 a gal., which was the most I have ever paid for it, but now I know.

The weather has been very gloomy since we arrived here, so I haven't gotten very many pictures, but just as soon as the weather clears, we will be out geocaching and getting some pictures of everything. I did add a couple of pics.

I don't care what anyone says, I believe animals and birds also do things just for the fun of it. Yesterday, when the wind started kicking up, about 15 buzzards were flying over the rv park. They just kept circling over and over in the same place. They never landed, so they weren't looking for road kill. They were riding the air currents and having a ball. It lasted for about an hour, then they were gone, so I choose to believe they were just playing..

Well, Donnie just got up, so I need to fix some breakfast. I will catch you later...
