Things are better
Mar 2, 2008
|Yesterday we awoke early. Neither of us had slept well for the second night in a row. We had our morning coffee, walked over to see the "Cave Crew" when they came in to work, to thank them for the gift they had left on our door the evening before. We needed that and it was so nice of them to do that for us.
I connected the water supply to our RV because the temperatures were forecast to be nice and warm, at least above freezing, for the next couple of days.
When Marilyn and I went to the hospital things were much better with Colby and the kids. Colby had improved and was being fed by Jennifer on a regular basis. Jennifer had put on makeup and looked quite nice. We enjoyed our time with the kids and with Colby.
I should mention that Chuck, one of the "Cave Crew", went to Wal-Mart and purchased a new wireless router, installed it in place of the old router, and we now had wi-fi service once again.
Now back to the main subject for me today. After Marilyn & I returned to the RV, we sort of hung out for awhile, just relaxing. Don & Jeanne who worked with us last year came by and visited for awhile. It was nice to see them again. They are nice young people and we enjoyed seeing them.
Marilyn & I called Jen at the hospital and she asked us to pick up a pizza and some cheesy breadsticks to bring out with us, when we go to the hospital. It appears to be evidence of the fact that everything is getting back to normal. :)
We soon arrived at the hospital, hot food in hand, and then Marilyn & I watched Colby sleeping while the kids ate their pizza.
Cathy Jo, who grew up with Jennifer, came by to see Jen. She is like another daughter to us and we were delighted to see her. Jennifer is the God-Mother for Cathy Jo's two children. She and Cathy Jo are more like very close sisters than friends. I will put a picture of the two of them together, on here for you to see.
After we watched Jen and Steve feed Colby once more, we left and drove home. We watched TV for a little while before we went to bed. I think we were asleep by 9:30 PM and slept great. Marilyn awoke with a headache this morning but she got up before I did, and put coffee on. The morning temperature outdoors is 43 degrees and is supposed to reach 60 today. We'll see!
Yesterday truly was a good day and we expect another one today. You know me, I just can't wait to see what this day has in store.....
