Paulette & Rick - Arizona 2008 travel blog

Our Arizona weather luck finally ran out as it rained pretty much all day today. It didn't matter that much as we had planned to do some shopping this morning and then check out the Mesa Market Place in the afternoon.

The Mesa Market Place Swap Meet is a 55 acres facility filled with over 1600 booths all under one covered roof! The booths are arranged in four rows, each as long as a football field. They sell everything imaginable including clothing, crafts, hobbies, tools, artwork, collectibles, luggage and a lot of other stuff including a lot of junk! Although I'm often told "one man's junk is another's treasure"!

The weather forecast for tomorrow, and at least the next week, is for a return to sunny, hot weather. Palm Springs, where we are headed in the morning, is also forecasting sunny weather with the temperature in the high 70'sF. It's surprising how fast we have gotten used to the sun every day down here and when a bad day occurs, like today, it's actually a surprise rather than something to expect.

So, first thing in the morning, it's off to California!
