What can I say, I love Hong Kong! This is an amazing city that's tough to describe...you just have to visit here to see for yourself!

I'll give this a shot: bright lights, tall buildings, crazy winding streets packed with people and cars, street markets, mass transit, sophisticated and smart attire, English accents, all different races, ferries, water, islands, and an incredible 38% of the landmass is dedicated to protected country parks!

I swear, you could walk around the streets of HK for days and not be bored. It's incredibly exciting here and the energy in this small area makes it tough to slow down and rest. Directions that one receives here are usually something like, "you walk up the stairs and through the tunnel then take the escalator up two streets...from there you cross the bridge and take a left when you see the signs for the MRT (mass transit). You can either catch a cab or walk...it's probably faster to walk, but if you get lost, get in a cab. You know you're there when you see the signs for the ferry and the water front."

But I must say, I think I could live here...not forever, but it's a city where I could imagine living and really having a great time. It's the perfect combination of East meets West and it seems most people living here are foreigners. You can get a good Mexican meal...or for that matter a good Indian, Thai, Italian, or French meal as well. Most people speak English! That is quite refreshing for me...a nice break from Asia.

Barely scratching the surface, that's my take on Hong Kong. The pictures will not do this place justice...you can't capture the enormity of these buildings in one shot...but you get the drift.
