The devastation of the Gulf Coast from Katrina is still very apparent. All along the shore most of the houses and businesses are gone. Only the large casinos are here.
Highlight of this area has to be our visit to Kiln Mississippi. The most famous resident being none other than the greatest NFL quarterback to ever play the game. That's right none other than Jim Delgai.....oh no sorry....BRETT FAVRE !!!
We visited his former high school - check out the bronze statue. Also went to Dolly's gas station and the Broke Spoke (a Packer bar) At both places you can write with magic marker on the outside walls. I wrote "Hey Brett, May I tie your shoes?" signed MJ wonder if anyone will 'get it'?
Katrina apparently was NOT a Brett Favre fan as his "Favre on the Bayou" restaurant is GONE.
