Entering NJ from the ferry ride

On Saturday, Gary, Rusty and I decided to take a road trip. We headed out to Lewes DE to take the ferry over to Cape May, NJ. I've added pictures. We had such a good time. The countryside is beautiful, even in the winter. Lots of old farms and waterways. The ferry crossing was expensive and Gary was livid. But he got over it. The crossing was rough, ugh. Even with this extremely large ferry I had to spend most of the 75 min. crossing outside looking at the skyline. I was glad to hit New Jersey. We spent several hours in Cape May NJ, on the beach. Looking at the old Victorian homes and old resorts. Most of the town was closed down for the "winter" season, but you could see where folks would love to come here for the spring and summer. Rusty got his first taste of sand. He loved it. He was a hit on the Cape May boardwalk in his new coat.

More pics and Part 2 with next entry....we traveled on to Atlantic city....
