Travel Route
| This was the best journey ever . I left my hometown after fajr prayers on the 1st january 2005 to senai airport and later my jjah and ida joined me. We were among the youngest group compared with the others. Everyone was looked so anxious, while we are having ggod times taking pictures and all. The flight took off 2.00pm . Up in the the clouds only i realised how significant it was. I remembered it was dawn , after maghrib that we reach jeddah . haj entrance was always hassle but we were prepared. So after 4 hours of entry , finally we made it to Mecca , muslim's most holy town . Early next morning , Thaji brought us together to perform our first and compulsary umrah . The 300 meters was the longest walk ever. As soon as i saw Masjidil Haram (the grand mosque) my first thought was, it is so beautiful and it's not as expected . Photos has always shown it as green , instead it was so white . I just couldn't believe my eyes , it's was before my face . As i approaced the mosque ,very emotionally and yet anxious just couldn't wait to see the holy kaabah . The 100 meters seems endless . From a far i saw it , the holy kaabah . The feeling was mixed , happy to be there and the smallness of me infront of the Baitullah . As muslim,everyone wants to be here and it's a great gift from God . After the first 7 rounds of tawaf, we proceed to do saie and i thought it was hardest and later tahalul and we managed to finished it before noon. So for the next 30 days , we spend most of our time in the grand mosque . other travels let us see beautiful people and sceneries , or ancient mounments but in mecca , you ll see youself , your innerself . People doesn't bother you anymore. It's between you and yourself. |
