elephants at play

elusive leopard

Well we are currently in Livingstone, Zambia - back from the bush. We'll try to catch you up on our doings the last 6 days.

We flew from Jo'Burg to Maun in Botswana, then transfered to a VERY small plane (cessna 206 - holds 5 passengers and a very young pilot). Arrived at the camp to the staff singing us a welcome. The routine for all these camps is - up early quick breakfast, then a game drive starting at 6 followed by brunch, then siesta, tea at 3:30 then another game drive at 4 (including drinks at sunset), then dinner at 8. As you can see they are always feeding us.

So the guide at Little Vumbura was Jonah, and from the land rover we saw lots of wildlife, including - on the first drive a large herd of elephants ( two teenage male elephants practising their fighting skills - reminded us of regular teenage boys wrestling) On our last day at this camp we were fortunate enough to see the elusive leopard.
