We all headed down for breakfast and showered and got packed. The checkout time was noon so we weren't in any rush to get moving. Our train for Krakow leaves at 2124 so we have time to wander around the city some more. We still have to pick up souvenirs and get some more photos. Getting laundry done is also something that we might do if the opportunity presents itself. Since we had spare time and there is wireless in the hotel that actually works I decided that I would try and get the rest of the photos uploaded. This took about 2 hours to get done and then we headed to the subway to go to the train station.
When Kayla woke up today her knee was fine however when it was time to head down to the subway it had started to get sore again. After we arrived at the train station we tried two different lockers to check our bags in but they would only take money and not actually lock. We did manage to get our money back and then decided that if we could find a Laundromat close by then Kayla would do laundry while Shane and I walked around.
There was a Laundromat a few blocks from the station and one subway stop so instead of walking we caught the subway to spare Kayla's knee. As it turned out we probably should have walked as we went down the wrong set of stairs to catch the subway and had to climb back up them and go down the stairs on the opposite side to catch the subway on the opposite tracks.
When we arrived at our stop there were more stairs to climb and Kayla managed but did point out that walking in the first place would have been easier. The Laundromat was full serve and not self-serve but we decided to leave our clothes anyways as the cost was about the same.
After dropping our clothes off we headed to an Internet café where Kayla could spend some time on the Internet and watch our bags at the same time.
Shane and I then headed out on the souvenir and photo hunt. We picked up the souvenirs but picture taking was pretty much out of the question as it had started to rain and we were forced to take refuge in an Irish Pub.
After having a bite to eat and a couple pints we headed back to get Kayla and see if she was ready to eat. She was ready to 'pee' as the man that had the key to the washroom in the Internet café had gone out and hadn't returned. Shane and Kayla headed next door to a restaurant to eat and relieve bladder pressure. I stayed at the café and watched the bags and checked my emails.
After Shane and Kayla were finished we all headed over to the Laundromat to pick up our clothes and then it was off to the train station to catch our train for Krakow Poland.
We have three beds reserved in a six-bed compartment. Once again there was all kinds of heat in our car and even with the heat turned right off it was still hot. There was one other occupant who was also headed to Krakow. We opened the window and managed to get the temperature down to a reasonable level before going to sleep.
