| Kaohsiung is the second largest city in Taiwan...second to Taipei. It's also Sonnie's home town, so I had the ultimate tour guide to this city. I really liked Kaohsiung. It was much cleaner than Taipei and the streets were more manageable. Sonnie took us around on her scooter, weaving in and out of traffic and getting us everywhere in record time. This city is beautiful...lakes, temples, parks, a river...much more livable than other cities in Taiwan. I got to meet Sonnie's cousin and we went out to KTV (karaoke) with a bunch of her girlfriends. It was a blast! We had a private room, so I took the opportunity to really belt out a few tunes. Ahhh, you gotta love Asians...if only because they invented karaoke! |
