Gary & Norma's mid - west vacation travel blog

Rest stop on the interstate is where is got our new pup

The night before we were talking with our friends that live in Richmond, Indiana about what had happen to our 14 year old dog that we had to put to sleep just before our vacation. We were going to maybe get another dog when we get back to florida.

We had planned to take interstate 70 into Indianapolis, then over towards Greencastle. We got lost and turned on to interstate 74 towards Crawfordsville,Indiana, no big deal, I would exit and turn south to go to Rockville where we wanted to be for the night at Turkey Run state park. We turned off to a rest stop just before exit 52, Norma had to go to the restroom and I had to take Stormy for a dog walk. As I was walking Stormy a semi-truck driver got out of her truck and came over to walk her little dog. We talked for awhile about our dog we had to put down after 14 years. Norma came back from the restroom and it was my turn. When I came back, Norma said if we wanted we could have this dog. Harley , the truck driver got the dog free , because the dog had no color in one eye, so they could not sell him or breed him. We have a dog now, what to name the dog, we just can't call him DOG. Maybe "ONE EYE" after a few minutes , it would be HARLEY after who had been so nice to give us a pup for free. We wanted to give her some cash and she said no way. SO AS YOU CAN SEE GOD DOES HAVE PLANS AND THE WRONG TURN, WAS THE RIGHT TURN FOR US.
