| Ciao everyone. well im in sunny florence now, we last night. venice was beautiful, there are no roads in the city, we had to take a boat to one of the islands where all the shopping was. did a lot more sightseeing in venice, went to the glass factory and the lace factory. had lunch at a wee place in a side street, and was the best spagetti ever. got to 31 degrees and had a thunder and lightening strm on the way to tea, but was over quickly. had a group tea that night at this cosy wee place with lots of wine and accordian players - was all very itallian and we all her a lot. we drove to florence yesterday, but we made a suprise detour on the way.....to marabello, th e home of ferrari. went to a ferrari museum and there was lot of cars parked outside, yes adam i got pics. might have been a bit wasted on me (honestly what do i know about cars) but it got the boys on the bus very excited! then it was onto florence. we went out for tea again last night, the food is amazing but im getting sick of pasta, i would love a roast!! we went to the red garter last , a kareoke bar. there was 2 other contiki tours there as well and cocktail happy hour. had th e potential to be a big night, but the public transport over here has been on strike so most of us decided it was safer to take the coach home at bout 11, so we knew we got home ok. today was another day of tours and sightseeing but i didnt go along, iv had cathederal and art overload the last few days so i went shopping, and now hayley and i are back at the hotel for the afternoon, going to do some washing etc. tonight we have a pretty big night planned, a huge tuscan meal and then off too a space electronic disco wooohooo lol. should be an awesome night (would have been the perfect night for that dress i e bring). tomorrow its off to rome. im loving being in europe but it was getting to be a bit much being on the go all the time, i can hear in the hallway heaps of other people have come back as well, everyone has the same idea to chill for the afternoon. i think we will all be nicer tonight because of it. having a ball still though, on another silly computer again though so sorry bout the typing!!! everyone is getting contiki cough, which apparenlty is a mixture of the hot weather, airconditioning and no sleep. love to you all, mum ill talk to you tomorrow!!! grace xxxxx |
