TORINO, well what can we say after no snow for christmas, we were looking forward to an exciting and fun filled new years. While we were waiting in line to visit the Mole Antonelli (the tallest builing in Torino with a cool glass lift), we found out that the New Years Eve celebrations would be cancelled as there had been a death from a factory accident. SO there were no fireworks, no one in the street and no pubs open.....

Instead we ate some more pizza and pasta.....

Other than New Year, Torino is a pretty nice town. The centre of the city is built with all arcaded walkways, so you can keep out of the snow (when it does snow). The piazzas and buildings are all very beautiful.

We meet up with some more of Petes rellies, Nonno Johns sister Lucia and her three sons Carlo, Elio and Graziano. The boys were great and took us to heaps of places. First off we visited the Egyptian Museum, which has the most important collection of Egyptian stuff outside of Cario and London. It was pretty awesome, heaps of mummies and cool statues. They then took us out for lunch to a cool place where you get to go down in the celler and choose your wine! After lunch we went to the one of the Savoy Palaces, where much of the architectual work was based on the design of the palace at Versaille. It was very beautiful, with an amazing art collection.
