Had breakfast with Sam, Simon, and Darren about 8:00 and checked out of the hotel at 10:00. Let my bags as I was leaving, from the hotel, at 4:45 and went to town with the fellas. Walked around Auckland until lunch then got together with a larger group of folks to have some food and say goodbye. After everyone left I spent the afternoon using the internet, reading, and relaxing before my epic journey was to begin. Headed back to the hotel about 4:00 and waited for my shuttle to arrive. Picked up the shuttle about 4:45 and headed to the airport by about 5:30. Checked in and through customs in just under an hour and then had a little over an hour to wait until my flight. On the plane about 7:30 and on our way to Brisbane where we had to change planes. The flight had been less than three hours but it was 11:00 pm and I was already tired.
