Just another day at the beach. A short drive from Knysna took...
| What a great breakfast we had. Tomorrow is Al's birthday so we are in search of a golf course in the area that will allow him to play. We drove around in search of a nice pricey course since the round is on me. The one that appealed to him, Simula, wasn’t opening until December 17th. It was rated at one of the top new courses in South Africa. There are a few more courses along the way that he can check out in the next few days. We drove to Knysna's Leisure Island only to be a little disappointed in the so-called beach. This sent us looking for another area to spend the rest of the day. The road to Brenton By Sea just south of town turned out to be amazingly wonderful. The beach went for miles and there was hardly anyone on it. We spent quite a few hours on this beach reading and working on crossword puzzles. The ocean looked very wild so we didn't dare venture into the water more than knee deep. It was still quite cold anyway. Spectacular spot! Tomorrow we are back on the road. |
