|After spending two nights at St Cyprien the wind seemed to have dropped so we decided to cross over into Spain via the coast road through Port Vendres.
To say it was an interestin trip would be an understatement, by the time we reched Port Vendres and had lunch the wind had picked up again although it was not as strong as the last two days. As there were campers coming through that had come across from Spain we decided it must not be that bad-Hah!
The road itself was very scenic, winding its way along the edge of the cliffs with a steep drop on one side, the biggest problem was turning across the wind on hairpin bends and the very worst moment was going over the pass at Cap Cerbere.
The wind was howling through the pass and it felt like the camper was going to take off, the again above Portbou the wind had lifted grit off the fields and for a minute it sounded like we were being sandblasted.
Anyway we made it and went on to Roses (Rosas) were we had planned to spend the night alongside the port but were turfed off and found a little parking area in the town on which to stay
