| 111307 We got to Point South, SC without incident and got set up. We are here for 5 nights. Greg is on a roll with the dish and got it set up with no problems, even though we thought it wouldn't work because of the trees around the site. Greg managed to find a spot between 4 trees where he could get enough of a peek at the southwestern skies to get a satellite signal. He will not mention this again, as he is good at it now. It is warmer, in the high '60's, but we are also reminded that we are back in fire ant country. We found some mounds that looked like fire ants on the site. The lady that processed us in came out to see if we were OK, and when we mentioned fire ants, she pulls out this big container of fire ant powder and dusted everything in sight. She said she hates them and will dust them whenever she sees anything. We are very appreciative as Ginny is deathly allergic to their stings. Greg resolves to go tomorrow and stock up on fire ant dust. |
