Today is called Black Friday. It's called that because all the stores are open after Thanksgiving, which was yesterday, and it's the biggest shopping day of the year. This is the day the shops get out of the RED and into the BLACK. Hence the name Black Friday. Some of the shops opened at 4:00 a.m. this morning, something like our Boxing Day with some great sales. We decided to chance it out there and went to the big mall near here, with all the big name stores in it. It was actually quite alright. We bought a few things and the line-ups weren't too bad at all. After that we went to a really nice restaurant on the water called The Waterway Cafe and had an excellent, very late lunch.
The past few days we've been biking around the area and taking pictures. We found a nice little trail called Mirasol Trail that winds its way from Ryder Cup, which we're off of, to Ave. of Champions. It's approximately an 8km round trip from the condo. Very nice trees, shrubs and flowers as well as fountains and water. Very pretty!
Everything was closed yesterday for Thanksgiving, so we read by the pool and watched both East & West semi-final games for the CFL. They actually had them on TV here 4 days after the fact! Go Bombers Go!!
