| Back to reality and time to look for a job to try and get a few numbers in the credit column of our bank statements! We were on the internet first thing and sent CV's to a few agencies and applied for a couple of jobs. After a couple of hours it was like being in Melbourne again, feeling like we were trying to get somewhere but not achieving it. After retiring to our room in a hostel which, after New Zealand, seemed awful, we decided to try and find a new hostel for the next few nights. After hanging the phone up, it rung again, and Clare got an interview with an accounting agency tomorrow. Ten minutes later it rung again and Garry got an interview, for this afternoon. We went out for lunch and Garry went for his interview, in a backpackers travel centre in Kings Cross. It went ok. We looked around the shops for a while and in the evening we went to look at a house in Randwick to get an idea of what we will get for our money when it comes to renting somewhere for a few months. It was pretty nice, but we will look at a few more plkaces before we make a decision. |
