Bariloche is a swanky ski resort type town full of tourists and overpriced goods. That makes it sound pretty awful but it wasn't and we spent a few days here. This was to prepare ourselves for the 1000 miles of dirt to come over the next few days as we head closer to the end. Starting with Carretera Austral (after crossing back into Chile) and the infamous Ruta 40 (in Argentina).
Not to waste good opportunity Mark and I went out on a large loop (200+ miles or so) through some great dirt trails. Mark is a top guy and days don't get much better than this. There was a little rain (which kept the dust down initially) but by the days end we were in some muddy sections. Good practice and good fun.
