After 4 months and more than 11,500 miles travelling across the US, there are so many items that create lasting memories. If you leave the interstate and drive along state highways, well the opportunities seem limitless. Best Campsite - On the beach of Lake Erie in Erie, PA.

Best Lighthouse - Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada

Best "beer and a sunset" - Lubec, Maine

Best Southern Meal - Natchez, Mississippi

Best Southern Hospitality - Natchez, Mississippi

Best Southern Twang - French Camp, Mississippi

Best Local specialty - (tie) Fresh crab claws and Wild Blueberry ice cream, Maine

Best "Freebie" - Tour of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Kanab, Utah

Best Library - Camden, Maine

Best place to watch an Ironman triathlon - LaGrange, Ky.

Best bike trail - Cape Cod Bike trail

Best marketing plan for a dead tourist town - Dodge City, Kansas

Best scenery on an interstate - I-86, Upstate, New York

Best hospitality - Everyone who offered us lodging during our trip - Thank You!
