We dropped off first in Orchard Road - the main shopping street. Most of the buildings are huge new high rise developments with air conditioned malls - a real relief after the humid heat outside. Usual shops here with designer clothes etc.
The first older building was the Art Museum.
On through Little India which seems to be a big recycling area - now I know where all the old computers & white goods go. The streets were full of cling film wrapped vintage electrical equipment.
We had booked into a Battlefields Tour looking at the fall of Singapore & had some fantastic views of the harbour & area.
Then straight to a trip in China Town, Chinese food, market & speedy ride on the tri cycles through 3 & 4 lanes of traffic to finish off with a river ride.
Thursday -
A trip on a Chinese boat round the harbout before going to the airport.
We finally got into Sydney at 9.30 am after 7 hours on the aeroplane. We're now with Keith's brother John & wife Alice & planing a trip to 'do' Sydney tomorrow.
