Jill and Tom's 2007 travels travel blog

We stopped in St. Charles, just outside of St. Louis, to visit Tom's nephew Dillon. Dillon is attending Grad school at Lindenwood University and is a baseball coach as well. It's not baseball season now, but he was plenty busy trying to whip the new recruits into shape. So during the day, we cycled a bit of the Katy trail. What trail, you may ask.

We'll we'd never heard of it either, but the dang thing goes some 250 miles all the way across Missouri. Now Missouri might not be the most scenic state, but when you've got your own carless route, it sure looks a lot prettier. Oh, and cycle west to east along the trail, you'll get a lot less grit and sand in your teeth!

At night, after a nice shower, we had a great dinner with Dillon, talking all kinds of sports stuff and drinking beer at a sports bar no less. Great visit!
