Waterfalls along the trail

First rest break

Just bumps on a log

The long climb up

More waterfalls

The gals

The guys

Hiking up the fire road

The trees still have some color

Overlooking the mountains

A lone tree overlooking the valley

Hanging out at the campsite

It's amazing what you can do with left-over mashed potatoes

Fall is quickly fading away, but we are still trying to enjoy every last minute we can. This weekend, my friends and I went camping in Shenandoah National Park. The leaves were a bit past peak, but the park was still beautiful nonetheless. The nights are starting to get colder and we were thrilled that the park just lifted their fire ban- I think that we would have froze without having a good fire going. We did an 8-mile hike on Saturday through White Oak Canyon which gave us all a good appetite to enjoy all of the food and drink we had brought. And the $1.00 per 5 min hot shower was worth every penny after the long hike.
