Two months in Mexico travel blog

The final note, a successful trip:

The next step is to get this whole site transferred to my personal web site. Visit my site at The way this journal is prepared is posting the pictures in the order they were taken and a short dialogue of the happenings each day. The way my personal web site albums are prepared is by sites and groups of like kinds and adding captions to them.

After I returned home I used the time from Jan to Aug of 2005 editing the pictures into a 5 CD disk slide show. The album is bound in a bark paper cover and has color CD sleeves of each section. This can be ordered on my web page. I prepared a section of charts and articles for my web site that I have adapted into a format that is featured at the end of this journal. The charts and articles deal with traveling alone in Mexico, as a single woman over 60. I have charted my expenses, tips on traveling, rating of the hotels I stayed in on a comfort scale and rated cites by visual cleanliness. Articles on Senor Ek, the paddler god myth and debunking travel myths I have heard and some poetry pieces I was inspired to write while in Mexico. As far as I know now, this will be the last update.

Postscript: I have been invited by to participate in the "Best of Lonely Planet Trip Journals". You are now able to view my journal for two years up to Nov 2007.

It is an honor to be chosen by them to have my journal open to be read by the general public. If you have any questions or wish to email me I would be glad to hear from you. Thanks for visiting, Gay
