On leaving Carlos we started our trip to Port Elizabeth. Winky suggested a roadside stop for pies for lunch so that is where we made our break! Gift shop was good but unfortunately pies weren't as great as we had expected. Nevermind it filled a gap and kept us going.
We made good time to PE and got to Leah's just after 4pm. Was lovely to see her and finally meet Morné! He's a sweetie! And their house is fabulous. The people before them had the foresight to lif the roof thus making space in the attic for a beautiful bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, balcony and bathroom all overlooking the sea! Downstairs is another en-suite bedroom and a lovely large open plan lounge, diner, kitchen with another large balcony. Downstairs again outside is a courtyard, cellar and laundry room. Its a fab place - definitely a good find!
After unpacking a little we sat and had drinks and nibbles then it was to the yard for a braai - bbq to us English! In the end it was too chilly to eat outside so we sat around the table and ate lovely food once again.
After dinner the laptop came out as I was dying to see the wedding photos! Leah had her dress made in South Africa as you don't really get off the peg dresses in South Africa. To add a touch of SA she had ostrich feathers added. She looked beautiful! It looks like they had a wonderful day!
By 10pm we were all fading so we headed off to bed. Leah and Morné had had a late night on Friday and we'd had along day so it suited us all!
