G'day people nice to hear from you all. thought i better update you all since it's been a busy couple of days. I now have room mates so I finally have people to converse with and they're both sane which is a bonus.
Wednesday was cool i took a stroll up sydney tower which looks a bit like the bt tower back home. You go to the top and you can see the whole of sydney, from the blue mountains in the west to bondi and the pacific in the east, which is a pretty awesome sight. I would put up some pics but i still can't figure out the card reader, its proving harder to break than the bloody enigma code. as well as the tower i also went to the famous sydney aquarium which isn't as exciting as they would like you to think. though the saltie (saltwater crocodile) they keep is massive and if i ever meet one i'll be sure to run the other way as fast as my fear induced limbs will take me. My night was spent at a quiz in the hostel but there was so many people in my team i didn't get the chance to show them how great i am, not that i'm big headed lol, oh well there's always next time.
Thursday was the best day so far the sun was shining, it was about 27degrees and i went with a few other people from the hostel on a walk from bondi to coogee (pronounced like squigee), a distance of about 5km. If you ever come out it's the best thing to do in sydney as long as you're feeling fit. I must mention that bondi is very overated it looks like any other beach just more crowded the better beaches are further south. On the walk we also saw a couple of whales playing around, they were quite far out but you could still see them jumping out of the water so that saved me a few bucks on a whale watching cruise. Coogee's fantastic it's quieter than bondi with a beach and view just as nice so i'm heading out there next week so i can top up my tan. in the evening i found a place that sells steak and chips for 5 dollars so i think i'll be living of that for the next few days. We also had a thunder storm which is just my luck i travel 10,000 miles to escape the weather and it follows me here.
Anyway on friday i walked up to taronga zoo which is a good 7km away so i was bloody knackered when i got there. Again the zoo is just like any other zoo though it has plenty of aussie animals there including the tasmanian devil (which looks nothing like the famous cartoon one) and the usual tigers, lions, elephants and monkeys. I got the ferry back on the return leg it's alot easier than walking and a bit quicker as well.
Finally went out but i won't put down what went on needless to say i'm feeling slightly worse for wear.
That's all for now but i'll post another blog next week so bye.
ps. Have finally figured out the card reader ya.
