Last day in Hot Springs
Oct 9, 2007
|Yesterday was a gray, cloudy day, with rain much of the afternoon. That didn't bother us as we went about getting things ready for leaving.
After our morning coffee, I took the truck into town and filled up with diesel fuel at $2.87 per gallon. Most places were getting $2.99 per gallon, around here.
When I got back, Marilyn was off to do the final load of laundry, so I grabbed my spray on detailing wax and finished waxing the truck. It looked really good, and then it started to rain. :) It works every time. :)
Marilyn fixed a beef roast in the crock pot for dinner, and she had some chicken we needed to use so she fixed a stir-fry for lunch. Good and spicey! Excellent!
We watched some TV, read our books (Marilyn worked on her beading) and listened to the rain during the afternoon. It was a very relaxing day.
Last night we watched some TV and were in bed shortly after 10 PM.
We were both awake at 5:45 this morning and I put on coffee while the computer was coming on line.
We want to leave as soon as possible this morning, but it is too dark outdoors to get things done, so we'll relax, have our coffee, and then get started.
We are changing our back yard today, driving to Nacogdoches, TX.
I hope that we will be on the road no more than six hours, but we'll see.
We may not have any new pictures for you until we reach the valley.
We just have to play it by ear as we go along. We know it will be hot in the valley, but Marilyn says we will just have to go to the pool a lot. :)
Time to get going.
I just can't wait to see what is around the bend.....
