Tour mobile, before wash, in front of Paul/Erin house

Liz, Paul & Erin at home right after the plane arrived

Hello sun lovers,

Today was a beautiful sunny day and not too humid. Perfect for taking the trailer & Durango to a self-wash center and scrubing off the dust, dirt and BUGS.

Paul took me to two PX's in my search for 'things' to wear/display to show my support for what he is doing for you and me and his country - even though he's following his father into a dangerous place for wrong-headed political agendas.

Paul's orders arrived last week and he will fly to Kuwait between Nov. 8-12 for a month's orientation and then his unit will take over a base near/in Mosul. Also last week, he was transferred to a new unit, a new Bradley and 'sort of' a new job as a artillary fire support officer. There is talk he may be back with his artillary unit as a platoon/battery officer the first of the year...but as with everything Army, believe it when it happens. For now though, his new crew and new assignment is better, we'll see as time progresses. Erin will close up the house and be back in PDX by Thanksgiving.

Liz arrived at 5:45. She really enjoyed a nice, home-made dinner after a month of dorm and restaurant food. THEN, Paul & Erin put on their 'goin-out-dancin' clothes, hat and boots and the four of us went out to a country western dance bar. The people watching was great and I saw why I didn't belong out on the dance floor...too complicated steps for this old dude to learn on a crowded Friday night...so I watched a lot and sneaked in a couple of slow dances. Paul taught Liz some two step, but we all watched the line dancing.

Didn't get home until 1:30 which caused a late start for San Antonio...Bob
