| Arrived today in Lincoln - Motorhome is staying at the State Fair Campground until at least Tuesday - then into storage (hopefully on the State Fair grounds). We are staying in condo....Steph is moving this week to Phoenix - Boo Hiss !!! We will be sorting through things and going to a couple Huskers games. Then around the 22nd or so we will head back to Wisconsin. Gabby was entered in dog show for Sat and Sun. Results to follow. What a lousy weekend this was. All of my favorite football teams were beaten this weekend - AND - Gabby received a rude welcoming to NE with two loses at the dog show. Stephanie's stuff is being carted out the front door as we write. Today (10/11) we found a new home for the motorhome. It was a relief to park it at a secure place - also it will be readily available to us to load and unload. We also went to Columbus to visit Gladys. Stephanie went along and it was generally a good visit. Glad was watching Gunsmoke and enjoyed the chocolate shake we took to her. Only bummer for the day was the failed attempt to gather a urine specimen from Sloane.....hard to sneak up with a cup thru all that hair...I am sure it presented a "pretty picture" for the neighbors !!! Another crapola weekend for football....fortunately the Packers did enough to win or was it that the Redskins did enough to lose - not sure. The Nebraska coaching staff is on 'suicide watch'. Weather is cold and rainy. Left for Wisconsin on Monday to pick up more stuff. Got to Saukville late - loaded van on Tuesday. Then went to dinner with Jessica and Patrick and Izzy !!! She is a cutie. Wednesday went back to Lincoln. In the meantime Jean was busy taking care of all the dogs and doing stuff around the condo - someday this moving stuff will be a distant memory - WE HOPE !!! All HECK broke out in Lincoln - they finally fired the Athletic Director and it wasn't too soon. Tom Osborne came back as interim AD - hopefully he can get things back to where they belong. Game this saturday with Texas A&M - we shall see. Two of three favorites one this weekend....and the Packers didn't play. Wisconsin beat up a high school team, the team from South Bend got crushed - YEAH !!! and the Huskers just plain stink. Tuesday (10/23)we head back to Wisconsin to hopefully put some order to the house - move more stuff out and get it on the market?? |
